Also, I don't care about trends: jeans/trousers with tapered legs are not flattering on pretty much every body shape I've seen wear them. If this really is a trend that's coming (I've seen more and more tragically tapered jeans walking around town), then I'm very happy to be untrendy.

Date: 2006-08-21 04:07 am (UTC)I feel the same about low-cut pants, though. Even thin people look just awful in them. They make everyone look bottom-heavy and lumpy, no matter how skinny and those who are not skinny look even more ridiculous.
What I don't like are the pants that are too thin at the ankles. I always buy the same exact stretchy jeans at Walmart that I've worn for the last 10 years. *g* I liked them best as straight legs, but then I went to buy some a couple of years ago and all they had were flared legs, so I bought those. Now that I lost weight, I had to get a smaller size and all they have are the ones that are almost snug at the ankle. I hate these, but they don't have any others at all. (Shopping for clothes sucks enough. I'm not going to look around for something better. *g* And yeah, I hate Walmart, but in AK, it was my only choice, and I'm too lazy to shop around anywhere else here, though I only go there for the pants. *g*)
If it were up to me, though, I'd wear nothing but sweatpants all the time. Nice, comfy stretchy sweatpants. :-) Well, it is up to me, but I mean they're not really socially acceptable in most places and I really look horrible in them. *g* I don't really care, though. That's all I wear at home, for the most part. Sweatpants and a t-shirt with no bra. It's not a pretty sight at all. Heh.
