Just got the EOBs for my little involuntary ER visit - so long, complete and total tax return! Guess I can't fix the bathroom or the roof this year.

And this is WITH insurance. Ugh.

Tag abuse

Ugh, I am so sick of people over tagging a story. If I'm reading an explicit story, I do not need to know every type of sex the couple in question is going to have.

Sex. Oral Sex. Sexual Content. Explicit Sexual Content. Het. Het and Slash. Heterosexual Sex. Rough Sex. Restraints. Begging. Wall Sex. Outdoor Sex. Shower Sex. Car Sex.

I would say all but the first are complete overkill, except if I'm already aware, by the genre, that I'm reading an E rated story (or rather not, because the tags frankly reduce my interest rather than pique it) involving sex.

That's a mild example the ones that really make me run away are the ones that don't just leave it at nipple play, but have to use fifteen tags regarding nipples. This, too, is mild. Picture that with the word anal.

Stop it. If something is dubious or non con, tag away. Otherwise, narrow it down so that your tag list isn't longer than your damned story.

Abuse of tags on this post is intentional.

1) A simple plumbing project turned into a bigger expense than it should have been, through no fault of mine, with potentially even more expenses to come. Working on rectifying that, but I'm not hopeful the company will do the right thing and I'll have to pay the bill. (Long story, no need to share.)

2) My phone;s screen died. Again. Second phone in as many months. I am bleeding mobile phones, apparently. At least I'm not traveling, but I do stay in touch with my parents and I know they worry if I can't get in touch with them. I guess this is what you get when you try to triage.

My phone died today. Rather, the screen died - I think the phone would actually still work if I could see anything. I'm sure it's fixable. I'm sure it's not worth the money it would take. Horrid timing, as I have to be on the road for six hours tomorrow, around possibly treacherous passes.

Why does it always rain on me? Is it because I lied when I was seventeen? <-- song lyrics; I'm not actually that dramatic, though I heaved a record number of sighs today - not all related to the phone, but it sure didn't help!

On the plus side, I made a nearly-perfect loaf of whole wheat bread yesterday. I found Bob's Red Mill five pound bag of flour for $1.99! It was exactly the ingredient I needed. No over proofing, no extraneous moisture problem. *twirls* It tastes sooooo much better than store brand and does not give me rumbly tummy.

Because I know fundraising isn't going to be the answer (and thank you to those who've spread the word and donated!)...

Apparently no one wants a woman's eggs if she's over 28 and you can't be a surrogate if you haven't already had a baby. The former, okay, sure, but the latter seems like they're discounting a lot of potential candidates.

Not that I'd actually ... well, maybe.

I'm thinking I'm going to have to find a part-time job to sock some money into my coffers, which is fine. I've done the multiple jobs thing before. My problem with this is twofold: I need flexible and, well, I deal with a large segment of the public. It could get very strange if I work at the grocery store after work, having to take the food stamp cards I just issued...

Too bad Etsy was a bust. If I had a clue how to I'd still try to make notecards out of some of my photos, but even at that I doubt I'd earn much.

I hear a violin in the distance and it's playing a sad, sad song for me. Tongue in cheek!

^Abe is the only one who will engage with Pickle. Even if he's got to pin her down and count to three just to get a couple of seconds of peace.

A friend sent me a really cute top a while back. Really, it draped nicely and had an adorable owl applique on the front. Covered my tush and just hung well. I washed it today and it came out of the machine the rough length of a belly shirt, which I can assure you is a look I cannot pull off.

Thank goodness I broke one of my rules and wore it yesterday before I'd washed it first. It was the only time I'll get to wear it! I even braved the leggings/tall boots look with it and didn't feel like a total meatball while doing it. (Seriously, skinny jeans/leggings and boots is a cute look, unless you've got hips like mine. Because hips don't lie.)

I am sad.
