Author's Notes: Don't fall off your chairs. Yes, this is an original team, old-school H/C fic. My SG-1 muse hasn't completely abandoned me after all. You should jot down now that I never permanently harm any member of the team. I'm just sayin'.

SG1: Point of No Return
Nov. 23rd, 2008 06:28 pmAh. I have mixed feelings about this one. Some of it was downright hilarious, but some of it was far too focused on an OC for my particular taste. And a rather annoying OC, at that.
( ...the lizard people )
"Shouldn't we have, like, doughnuts or something?" Daniel, on stakeouts.
"In hindsight, perhaps we should have given him his medication, O'Neill." Teal'c, on psychopharmacology.

SG1: Beneath the Surface
Nov. 9th, 2008 04:10 pmFirst, I have to say that it's only a little after 4 PM and I already had to turn the lights on. Boo, hiss.
Ah, I'm back from an unscheduled hiatus. I find that I can't watch anything beyond S3 if I'm writing SG1 fic - it kills my momentum. And while I'm writing SG1 fic again, I'd already seen the bad Lifetime movie that was on, so I popped in a DVD.
( I'd like this one more if they hadn't shoehorned in the Ship )
I tend to file this one under: Watch For The Pretteh
Also, I think a lot of fanfic was spawned from this episode. I know for sure a lot of slash was generated. I just can't remember where or by whom. Anyone got a favorite Beneath the Surface tag, missing scene or standalone dealing with the events that happened?

SG1: Scorched Earth
Sep. 21st, 2008 06:29 pmAh. Another one that has good points, but also some big bad points.
( I'm talking to Lotan. )
Eh. Some good, some bad. Like I said.

SG-1: Window of Opportunity
Aug. 17th, 2008 03:06 pmI watched this last week, but I was stuck in a time loop and couldn't post about it ... ba-dum-bum.
I enjoy some aspects of this episode. Frankly, it does always puzzle me it makes the "fan favorites" list. It's cute, but it's not THAT cute, you know? More on this later.
( If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try, try, try, try again. )
It ruins the episode for me, and is ultimately why I could never vote it a favorite.

I don't often watch SG1 repeats once they move past S5 or so, but last night the TV was on SciFi and Reckoning Pt 2 was airing. I'd forgotten just how awful the ending was, with Jack and Carter chit chatting to fill each other in, tossing in a very blasé "oh, and what about Daniel?" line. Good to see the possible death of a good friend merits an aside.
Also, I could not disagree with this guy more if I tried.

SG1_lims - go vote
Jul. 24th, 2008 10:21 amGo. Look at pretty SG-1 icons and vote for your favorites here.
Qualifications not needed. Trust me. I know not a thing about icon making, but I vote every week. Plus, it's amazing to see what people with talent produce. I'm green with envy. :)
ETA: You don't even really have to be an SG-1 fan.

SG-1: Urgo
May. 18th, 2008 05:58 pmIsn't this an episode you either love or hate? I actually quite enjoy it myself, but I'll be darned if I have much to say about it.
( Hello, Urgo. )
Yeah. So I don't have much to say today. I blame the ringing in my ears. Anyone have favorite moments or scenes or tag fics?
