Target Disaster:
1) Both the up and down escalators were off...not just off, but cordoned so patrons couldn't use them to even *gasp* go the old fashioned one-foot-in-front-of-the-other route.
2) As a result of #1, the elevators were jam packed.
3) They didn't have the chair I wanted (and so am sitting in this uncomfortable thing that causes major back pain..
4) I bought the wrong battery for my phone (this one's not Target's fault. It's mine for forgetting to bring the bad battery with me).
5) The only frigging size T-shirts they had in white were XS and XXL.
6) Flats are in and I want a couple pair. Everyone else has cute ones...Target's selection was abysmal.
7) So many mirrors up, which revealed my nasty fat-girl arms at nearly every turn.
8) My debit card was declined, despite me having deposited a my bi-monthly pay in the account...and the fact that I rarely let my balance go beneath $300.
Y'know, it was experiences like this that really make me miss Minnesota. In Mpls./St. Paul, the Targets are everywhere and they're all good. I don't like driving miles for unsatisfactory shopping.
Icon used just because.

Date: 2006-08-28 06:07 pm (UTC)Jon/Stephen = Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert
That icon is from a picture from last night's Emmy Awards. When Jon Stewart won, Colbert was sitting right behind him and he reached over and kissed Jon. Then they hugged. It was really cute. I'm not really into RPS, but I just thought that scene was cute, so I snagged the icon. The whole reason I watched the Emmys was so that I could see them present an award. I had no idea either had been nominated.
I think they do this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVnl7LNyxXY) type of thing on purpose, though, to drive the guys as Fox News and the like a bit nuts. *g* It's all in good fun.
