Kolaches II!
Jun. 30th, 2013 06:53 pmIt's Sunday. I had to bake. Actually, it's apparently tradition for a breakfast potluck to happen when a new person joins the organization. We've got a newcomer starting tomorrow. And even if someone made that up and I'm the only one bringing treats because I got punked, I'm okay with it.
Because:

( Cherry and Lemon Curd Kolaches )
What else did I do this weekend? Cleaned the kitchen for the first time since early May. BOUGHT FRESH VEGETABLES BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE TO BE OUT OF TOWN THIS WEEK.
Shopped for deck furniture. I have a narrow little patio area and I really wanted to get a bistro set or something. Maybe someday I will. In the meantime, I went to the local lumber store and bought two plastic Adirondack chairs and a wee little table. I had to ask if I could haul one out to the car. Dixie is tough and scrappy, but she's tiny and I didn't want to buy the chairs and not be able to fit them in. It took a bit of muscle and elbow grease, but I got 'er done.
It was a very uncomfortable drive back home, though. The chairs took up the passenger seat and about 1/3 of the driver's.
( Limited seating is better than no seating )
I feel accomplished. And tired.
