These Pretzels Are Making Me Thirsty

I expected a package delivery tonight. This particular delivery company usually doesn't hit my house until 7 PM, so I decided to hop in the shower real quick after work. The delivery came just as I toweled off. Not wishing to miss the item, I threw on my bathrobe and answered the door.

Delivery Guy (DG): Hi! This is going to be tricky, as it looks like most of the tape has been broken on this rather large box.
Me: Great. It's going upstairs, too.
DG: Upstairs? Oy.
Me: And of course I just got out of the shower.
DG, smiling: Of course. Would you like me to carry it up there for you?
Me: Would you mind?
DG, already halfway up the stairs: Not at all. Just don't hit me with a frying pan or anything.
Me: Hey, I'm the one who chose to answer her door in a robe.
DG: That's a point.
Me, as he's leaving: Thank you so much. I know you guys don't have to do that.
DG: Well, I'll do just about anything for a girl in a bathrobe.

At which point it would have been smart of me to see if he meant it by asking him if he wanted to put the bed together for me while he was at it.

I figure, though, that might have been misinterpreted.


And while this was all happening, Abe raced to his favorite hiding spot - under the covers of my bed. Where he's not hidden at all, but since he can't see out, he is invisible! He hides there from the vacuum too. Imagine his horror when I lift the vacuum to give the quilt a quick zoom.

I do believe that "He has a drool sense of humor." might just be my favorite word error in a fanfic ever.

Okay, maybe not, but it certainly makes the top ten. Possibly even top five.
