SPN: Caged Heat

Last episode ended with Dean asking Sam if he even wanted his soul back. So ... why the exact same question here? Is creativity that lacking? ;)
Dean's still going at it from a souled "well, duh, everyone should want it because I want it" POV. And don't get me wrong, he's not wrong. Something about how it's coming across, though, doesn't strike me as concern for Sam so much as a desire to have his Sam back and that's a tad more selfish. See also: their entire family history repeating and repeating.
Though - wanting to put a soul back where it belongs is different than resurrecting someone completely. If Sam's going to die, he should die whole. I don't think Dean's truly considered the ramifications, despite being told repeatedly of them. He's in a bit of denial over that, which is odd. When has it ever worked out for the Winchesters.
Personally, I'm hoping Crowley lied about where Sam's soul actually is. It's hard to say how difficult it was for him to yank Sam from the cage - we didn't get to see it. Anyway, if I have to watch Sam die again, I think it'll kill me.
Aw, I had hoped Crowley would last a bit longer.
Is it me, or has the writing/dialogue turned a bit schlocky of late?
Meg. Glad to see her back, but I think we should be concerned what her exact plans are. She's crafty. She'll probably be the one to figure out how to get Sam out, and she'll only be doing it because she can also get Lucifer out at the same time.
Castiel. Congratulations, Castiel fans - him taking out Crowley was as close to kicking ass as I've ever seen. Of course, it was completely negated by the stupid porn scene and making time with Meg in front of the guys, so...win some/lose even more. ;) Also, he might be losing upstairs because his heart's not in it. If he got his heart in it instead of pondering what life would be like as Sam-n-Dean's sidekick, maybe he'd start winning.
Samuel. Okay, we knew his motivation was going to be Mary, but I was getting really creeped out by it. He misses her? Can't live without her? Dude died long before she did, and what about his wife? I don't know, I was getting a really ooky feeling from his "logic" there. Samuel's not right in the head. He loves his daughter, but I wonder if he might not Love his daughter. Cre-epy! I just made myself nauseated.
What's with the episode title? Am I the only one who thought it was Caged Heart until it flashed on the screen?
In other news, I finally slept past 7:30! Three full hours past! So. Needed. It.
