*sigh*
Rain! Wind! Mayhem!
When I got back from lunch, there was a message from my landlord on my voice mail - they had some leaking in the utility room, and she wanted to know if she could let herself into my apartment to make sure things were okay.
They weren't. I've got a leak in my bedroom. It's not a sizeable puddle, all my stuff was moved. My storage closet (stuff piled in a corner with a screen in front of it, hee) was all torn up and the stuff stacked on my bed. I had to move a big piece ofstuff furniture out into the living area so they could pull the carpet up and point a fan/heater at it.
It's going to be a long winter if they can't fix this issue permanently!
Anyway, the best laid plans got all screwed up for the night. I thought a little Peter Gabriel would be a good fit here, if only in title. It's not quite the full song. I don't know why. Or you could listen to Excellent Birds, which is just silly.

Date: 2007-12-04 04:29 am (UTC)Does it sound like your landlords have got anyone in to fix whatever's wrong in their utility room? I hope it's something easy.
Maybe you need to set up an umbrella in the corner... :)

Date: 2007-12-04 05:10 pm (UTC)They temporarily ran a piece of gutter out toward the street, which should help. I think yesterday was the worst of it, though the rains have started again. For a brief hour or two, the sun actually tried to come out. It was pretty strange, to be driving toward the sun but seeing black clouds in my rearview mirror.
PS, awww, Sam and his floppy S1 hair. I still miss S1 hair. Now I think I kind of get why everyone made such a fuss over Daniel cutting his locks off (though with him, I have to say short is better). :)
