That the channel switchup, etc. are going to muck up the dynamic of Supernatural and that I should really get this story finished before the season starts and kills my muse?

I really hate being such a cynic. I've seen too many PTBs that have taken a good thing and given it a swirly.

ER, I may have miscopied. The name of the network.

Why? It's going to air at 9pm on Thursdays like it did last year. And Smallville right before it. I don't know if it's different on the west coast.

I don't know which channels become CW though.

Because it's the nature of the business? That, and Dawn Osteroff is apparently a fan of adding things on her whims?

You're writing a SPN story? Oooh.

Write, woman, write!!! :)

I fear for shows on that channel. Smallville used to be fantastic. Then, over the course of the past two seasons, it's become a teen sex romp. It never was like that before. I mean, it's third season had a continuous storyarc which was fairly dark.

Then it was all about teh sex.

Yay teen angst. Blech.

I think all my shows are cursed.

PS - I just actually looked at your icon. LOVE.

:) Thanks!

I'm asking for a muscle car for my birthday/Christmas this year. I doubt I'll get it.

Yeah, I pretty much ask for one every year. I've been assured that if my parents ever win the lottery, one will be coming my way. In the meantime, I have a few great matchbox cars... :p

It was a combination of the Tailies becoming the focus when their were much better characters I wanted to know more about, plus TPTB not seeming to know where to go with the story. They would keep adding in "twists" but twists only take you so far. They also started out hinting there might be something supernatural, which, besides Dominic Monaghan being in it, was the main reason I gave it a shot.

I'm really starting to like the idea of limited series, in which we get a beginning, middle and end, without trying to drag it out for multiple seasons. Perhaps they could have another season, but with a different plotline to explore instead of beating a dead horse.

Twists will only get you so far. It felt, honestly, like they were fanfic writers who tossed in whatever sounded good just because they wanted a reaction. Even if it made no sense and the story itself lost coherence.

They were putting in twists for the sake of twists in order to string viewers along. At this point, I don't think there's any way for there to be a coherent storyline.

Could be interesting, but I'm not sure how willing people in the US are to let go of things.

I think we're getting used to the idea, with many cable shows only having 13 eps in a season. What I'm thinking is having a season planned out before it airs, and if it does well you can plan out another season. But the major plots each season should be resolved and not dragged on for years.

I feel the same way--that is, wondering if they're going to screw it up. I've been reading spoilers. Some sound awesome and others...er...not so much. *g* You can't really tell until it airs, though. I've read horrific spoilers for SG-1 that turned out to be a good episode and others that sounded good in writing that turned out to be a horrible episode. *g*

I hope you finish the SPN story soon anyway, though. :-)

Yeah, me too. I'm not as invested in this show as I was in SG-1, but it's the show I am the most excited about right now.
