Why do I have this feeling...

That the channel switchup, etc. are going to muck up the dynamic of Supernatural and that I should really get this story finished before the season starts and kills my muse?
I really hate being such a cynic. I've seen too many PTBs that have taken a good thing and given it a swirly.

You're writing a SPN story? Oooh.
Write, woman, write!!! :)

Date: 2006-08-24 04:54 pm (UTC)I worry that they'll try to add characters or something. Most of the other shows rely heavily on melodrama, I think, and ridiculous romantic interludes. Uh, don't want that on Supernatural, thanks.

Hollywood also has this frustrating tendency to "fix" what isn't broken.

Yeah, I pretty much ask for one every year. I've been assured that if my parents ever win the lottery, one will be coming my way. In the meantime, I have a few great matchbox cars... :p

Date: 2006-08-24 11:59 pm (UTC)I'm really starting to like the idea of limited series, in which we get a beginning, middle and end, without trying to drag it out for multiple seasons. Perhaps they could have another season, but with a different plotline to explore instead of beating a dead horse.

Could be interesting, but I'm not sure how willing people in the US are to let go of things.

Date: 2006-08-25 11:46 pm (UTC)They were putting in twists for the sake of twists in order to string viewers along. At this point, I don't think there's any way for there to be a coherent storyline.

I think we're getting used to the idea, with many cable shows only having 13 eps in a season. What I'm thinking is having a season planned out before it airs, and if it does well you can plan out another season. But the major plots each season should be resolved and not dragged on for years.
