Where there's smoke...
Sep. 8th, 2020 07:44 pmLast night we had been warned about a windstorm, but what was worse than the wind was the smoke. It started rolling in last night and hasn't dissipated. I have quite a headache from it, and we aren't really anywhere close to the wildfires. I cannot begin to imagine how bad it is closer to the fires themselves. Entire towns have been obliterated, so in the grand scheme of things - my bedroom smelling like a bonfire and my head aching is nothing. I feel for people who have lost their homes. :(
Spent the afternoon calling clients in that area to make sure they had evacuation plans and places to go.
ETA: Woke at 3 AM with splitting headache. Apparently shut windows don't help. I don't want to go to work, but I don't want to stay here!
