Happy Independence Day

"Gee," I thought as the first neighborhood kid set off some noisemakers last night, "I should go turn down the sheets to keep Abe from burrowing in and peeing on my bed again this year."

Went upstairs to do that, found the bed empty and breathed a sigh of relief. Then I found the wet spot. Yep, he'd already come, peed and run away. Poor guy skulks around here like he's in a war zone this weekend.



I miss seeds in watermelon. Am I alone in that? I would much rather spit out bigger seeds than eat these slimy little white things found in "seedless" watermelon.
