Any of those systems are fine if you stick to them, the same as eating less and exercise. Sigh....after fighting weight most of my life I've found there are no easy answers.

Yeah, I thought about it throughout the day and decided that it wouldn't work for the long term. I'd rather learn how to make the foods/proportions myself than be handed them. The sad thing is, I know it's portion control and evening snacking that gets me. Maybe this is the Midwesterner in me, but I also hate eating after 6:00 pm - which is unfortunate, since I don't usually get home from both jobs until about 6:30.

Ah, bless. I looked at those 'success story' pictures on the Nutrisystem website, at the 20-29 lbs lost people, and one woman looked much prettier before she had the phenomenal weight loss. If logic hadn't already won out, that would have convinced me.
For us it's exercise. We've cut back on eating about as much as we can. We really have to get consistent about exercise. Nothing intense, just walking. It really does work for us.
