Is it just me, or are both Sam and Dean especially delicious this year? I think JP has toned down the muscles a little? His face doesn't look as wide and thick. This is a good thing. Maybe married life is suiting them both very well.
First thought: Sam seems more like Sam in this episode, but there's still something weird. I think part of why he's more Sam is the distance, for most of the ep, from the Campbells. I don't know what's up with them, but I'm clinging to this hope that Sam knows they're messed up and he's there for a reason - and that the reason isn't because they're family and it isn't because he is like them. Maybe he's in deep undercover.
And he needs for Dean somehow as a catalyst? To see their wrongness and call them on it. Part of me thinks Dean was right - he was using the baby as bait. I'm just not sure if the trap was for the alpha or if it was for the Campbells. It seems weird to me Sam doesn't buy Dean as a father figure because he's a hunter, but he thinks those psychos can raise a kid. It's like he's testing the water with them, or has been for this whole year and now he needs Dean to help finish it.
Whatever it is.
Yeah, I'm grasping at straws. ;)
But I do like Dean's reactions. They're pretty on and pretty what Sam should have been thinking all this time - so it's either something like above, or he's really, really come back different.
I keep expecting to see Christian Campbell walk in with a banana. Props are important.
Ah, still not down with the Lisa thing. Last week, Dean told her the whole year was a mistake and then went back for her. And she was cool with that. This week, she's all nice and tolerant and understanding and practically perfect in every possible way. I like her, I do. But I do not think she's being written 100% realistically.
THOSE BABIES! OMG, my uterus must have exploded about 20 times in this episode. Those babies were so, so, so cute I can hardly stand it even now.
Ending = anticlimactic. So the Big Bad got the baby in the end. How many more babies is it going to collect? Who is Samuel working for? I do not understand why it's readily assumed he's been pulled from heaven. How do we know he went there originally? We don't.
I think the milk I had for dinner was bad.
