Someone called me boring today. I'm not boring, I'm just reserved and not prone to outward displays of anything. I'd say it's a defense mechanism, but really, if I go by pictures I have been this way since I was a baby.

Anyway. So this placid, sedate woman flailed a teensy bit here, but mostly at the implications than anything. Like, we've known it's been coming for so long, but all the up-and-down and slight distaste for last week's episode didn't allow it to sink in until now. Sam's going to have to do bad things for any shot at all of good things to come. *wibble* And Dean's going to have to let him. *wibble some more* Plus, I really should have skipped the preview.

Ah, Matt Frewer didn't disappoint, but what a shame Pestilence's appearance was such a side bar and last minute affair. Death, too, for that matter. I liked the differences between them, Pestilence with a severe chip on his shoulder about humankind and Death with that kind of blase attitude you'd expect from something so old.

So Castiel's not dead. I suppose that's good? ;) What I know is good is Bobby putting the verbal smackdown on him. For sure, Castiel was whining (for an angel, he does that a lot lately) about being "useless" to a guy confined to a wheelchair, and who probably hasn't and will never accept it.

Crowley: still don't trust him. He's a bit too convenient, so you just know he's going to bite them all in the ass if they survive. I'm especially worried for Bobby.

Sam thinks he's the least of them. :( He's not, I tell you. *stomps foot* He's NOT.

I couldn't figure out the weird looks Bobby kept giving Sam in the warehouse. I thought we were supposed to be seeing something bad, so trained have I become to focus on that about Sam, that when Bobby and Dean had their little chat at the end I was honest to goodness so happy I wanted to reach on through the screen and hug the crap out of him. But that doesn't mean I want Sam to have to field test SATAN like I know he's bound to just to prove Bobby is correct. For the record, I think it wasn't news to Dean; I think one of Dean's biggest character flaws (note how they are always quick to point out that Sam has failings even here when they're being nice) is that he does not want to admit Sam's not that helpless baby he carried out of their house in 1983, because admitting that would mean his job as protector isn't so important anymore. And without that - who is he? (Apparently the whipping boy...)

Death was ... I want to know how he could simply give the ring up if he's under Lucifer's thumb? I might have missed something and should actually dl this episode to watch it again. And more to the point: I don't think for one second he would have bought a lie out of Dean, even though Dean is the Dean Winchester. See above regarding what Dean already knows. He doesn't want to, but he knows he has to let Sam go do his thing. Do or do not.

Hmm, this one bears mulling.

Also, thank you for the cookies aizjanika and hsapiens. Nom nom nom!

I know! I kept wondering what Sam was doing wrong now. And then, he wasn't!
