On Eye Color

Me: I forgot it's St. Patrick's Day today. I didn't wear green.
S: I didn't either. The only thing green I've got are my eyes.
Me: Your eyes are green? I'd never noticed.
S: Yep.
(Looking at me closely.)
S: Hey, your eyes are green, too, but they're a bit darker than mine.
Me: Yep. (My eyes are green and hazel - as in the actual reddish-brown color - and are more appropriately categorized as hazel, but...)
See, all y'all fic writers - generally, people don't notice eye color unless they're specifically looking. It's slightly different if someone's got exotic-looking eyes, I think, but on the whole? Not necessarily a defining feature. Please don't use the epithet "the green-eyed man..." or anything like it. In fact, you could do without many epithets at all. Names are fine. They're meant to be used.
Also, please trust me when I tell you that viscous and vicious are not interchangeable. If you don't trust me, grab a dictionary.
