Whoops, I did it again

I killed my apartment. I fear this is a bigger problem than I first suspected. I can't have the oven, computer, lights and one other thing on at the same time, apparently. Also of note, when I went to the main house circuit breaker - it was not flipped, just like last time. I had to wait five minutes, flip it off and then back on before anything happened. And the circuit was warm to the touch, unlike the rest of them. I've never considered myself a major power-sucker before, but now I wonder.

Ultimately, this is their problem. It's just my annoyance. I was in the middle of several things, damnit, and once again I have to figure out my cable/TV. I won't be watching anything for a while, so that's not a huge deal. Just a pain.

Date: 2008-03-24 03:49 pm (UTC)The wiring in my house was probably put in in the 50s, and I have a similar problem. In fact, everything major is plugged into a surge surpressor, because my power has killed three TVs, two VCRs and a microwave. If your landlord will do it, have them bring in someone to test your power supply and maybe put in a few more outlets or redistribute your fuses.
