Okay, now I'm irritated. I decided I shouldn't just let Norton take my money via automatic renewal, even if it's just $60, right? I got no response out of my email request and was going to follow up with a phone call.

First, in order to even get a fucking customer support phone number, you have to go online and fill out forms and go through a whole rigmarole. Then, and only then, will you get a phon number to call, along with an ID number.

I just called. They have an automated message greeting that explains they'll charge $9 for a fucking customer service call! Seriously. That's not customer service. That's extortion. No matter what I do at this point, they'll still be getting money out of me. What kind of establishment charges additional money for customer support? Lousy rats.

I think I might be more than irritated. I'm achy, cold, hot, sore and cheesed off. I guess only one of those has to do with Norton. (Stupid head cold.)

Also, here's a photo. Not the best subject material, I'll give you that. I call it "Spring in Seattle". This is pretty much what I'll be seeing from now until the end of June.

I wonder if you might have better luck by calling your credit card company (or bank) and letting them know you don't want this charge--that you aren't doing business with this company any longer. It's worth a shot.

McAfee did the same thing to me...renewed my subscription without asking. I don't think I'd signed up for any kind of continuing subscription either.

I was going to cancel it, but it seems like such a pain to cancel and then still have to find a new security program... Yes, I am lazy. I am going to take my credit card number off before next year though.

Good luck to you, whatever you decide to do.

Yeah, I agree - call the credit card company, it'll only take a few minutes of your time, and they'll probably do something the unwanted charge. It's better than being sauced for the $60 bucks.
