superbadgirl | Things that disturb me

This actually took place last week, but it's just been kind of festering at the back of my mind. I arrived home early enough on Thursday, I think, that I actually ran into the building manager at Job 2. He's usually gone by the time I get home, incidentally about 45 minutes before the office is supposed to close for the evening. Huh. Anyway:

Him: I'm writing up a 10 day for Tenant X.
Me: Why?
Him: She's a whore.
Me, uncertain I'd heard him correctly: WHAT?
Him: Noise complaints. Apparently she and her boyfriend are really loud, several times a night, on a regular basis. Their neighbor is on sleeping pills, and he was woken up by their activity.
Me: Oh.

Now, at the time I was still a bit flummoxed by the whole thing. The more I think about it, the more upset I become. It disturbs me greatly that he was so quick to label a woman a whore simply because she apparently enjoys frequent sex with her boyfriend. I really, really, REALLY doubt he would have been so offensive had the tenant in question been a man. Oh, no. I'm thinking he would have implied that the tenant's girlfriend must be a whore who made lots of noise during sex.

I just...what the FUCK? Why is a woman a "whore" if she enjoys sex, and happens to be rather vocal about it?
