I'll save you!

I just refreshed my knowledge of CPR. Wow, it's so much simpler now than when I first learned it, back in the high school wrestling room. No more measuring with two fingers, no more checking for a pulse, yay! They still eff it up on TV, though, which boggles my mind. It can't be that difficult to teach people the appropriate positions enough to make it look realistic. I've seen TV people get resuscitated by having their abdomens pressed on (John Winchester, much?), fcol.
Anyway, if I'm ever around any of y'all and you pass out and cease breathing, I'm there for you. (Disclaimer: As long as the scene is clear. If it's not clear, the instructor said it's okay if I just sit there and look helpless until the professionals arrive. Sorry, but they don't want to have to save two people. I'm also off the hook trying to give the Heimlich to a really tall person.)
Also, the best places to have heart attacks in the States are apparently Las Vegas, Houston and Seattle. Learn something new every day. Turns out the cameras and security at Vegas are helpful expeditors, Houston has a ton of medical facilities, and Seattle just has more people per capita who know how to do CPR than most cities. Go us. ;)
I need to go rest now. I have a headache from blowing Andrew all afternoon.
