Oh, yes, I do know how that is. I try not to dwell on it and not be jealous of those authors who get skunds of feedback, but sometimes I am ;-)

I know part of it is that I don't go out and read a bunch and feedback myself. I feel bad about that, I really do, but there it is.

And on FF.net? I refuse to beg and blackmail for feedback. Yeesh.

I do try, but I don't give as much feedback as I should.

And I agree about ff.net. Especially the stories that say 'If you don't review, I won't finish the story.' I hit the back button and won't even finish the story.

I think feedback overall has dropped though save for a few special people in any fandom. I just don't think people feedback as much as they used to.

I have noticed that in pretty much any fandom there are the "cool kids" who always garner lots of responses, and then there's the rest of us.

Not that the "cool kids" don't merit the praise, they usually do, it's just that...I'm a big, big, big baby. ;)
