Not a whole lot to say tonight. Automatically better this week than last just because no Jo and no Ellen and no Ash and no Roadhouse. ;)

Don't get me wrong. It wasn't terrible. But if I wanted to watch a procedural cop drama (albeit this one had a supernatural twist) I'd have tuned into something else.

Dean: Good. Love the snark. Love the video camera shots - seriously, he was even prettier in blue.

Sam: Good. Getting pretty smooth at lying - loved how his story totally didn't match what they showed us.

The rest? Not so scary and more mystery/cop drama than supernatural. It was nice that they acknowledged St. Louis - would have been nice to have seen more of that. Personally, I don't know how they could pin it on Dean anyway - the cops wouldn't have had any DNA evidence and now that they've exhumed the shapeshifter's body, they should re-check everything, no?

I don't see how letting them go is going to really help them in the long run. For all they know, the little woman is going to just blame them for what happened to Pete. Yeah, I know she won't...but they've already used the "cop lets them go" schtick, damnit. And couldn't she have just shot her partner in the arm or kneecap or something?

The Hilts/McQueen thing was cute, but the Rockford thing? Did Sam really think Dean was going to get out of there to meet up with him? Peek-a-boo, convenient plot device, I see you! ;)

This would have been SO much better had they actually put Sam and Dean together. I get why they weren't, but like I've said - I pout when I don't get my quota of brotherliness.

Not a favorite, but not drek.

In other news, hottie neighbor's hottie brother knocked on my door just after I'd put on a facial cleansing mask. Dude has got the worst timing in the world.

There were still issues, but at least I didn't have to grit my teeth to get past the Joellenashroadhouse crap.

I was so happy not to have to be subjected to that crap, not even a mention of it, that I was willing to totally overlook it, lol. However, that being said, this really wasn't one of my fav episodes and it's definitely not one that I see myself re-watching anytime soon.

Oh, man, me too. It's like it's trying to be something other than what it is, when what it is is what held the most appeal. It's like CSI's PTB trying to focus on "romance" more just because that's what Grey's Anatomy relies on, thinking that because people like it on GA, they want it on CSI. Which isn't true. There's a serious gap in logic there.

Yes! I said it before and I'll say it again. If I wanted to watch a romantic drama of some sort, I'd watch The OC or OTH (which I do). The point is, that is not the kind of thing I want on this show. That's not why I watch it. I watch it for the brotherly angst and the scary. Romance doesn't fit into this show and I'd wish they'd leave it alone. I don't care if Dean wants to get laid off-screen in every episode like last season. But don't expect me to sit here and try to watch him in a serious relationship with someone. And the writers can keep trying to shove that crap down my throat, but I refuse to like it. I'm stubborn that way.

We didn't even get to see the car this episode. *wibbles*

It's true! Gah, I can't believe I didn't notice that! *huggles metallicar*

He does it to me ALL the time.

I'm one of those people also born with horrid timing. I've called people just after the shower when they're naked and dripping wet. Or right after someone they know has died. It's not my fault!

It does feel a bit like they're trying on different shows to see if they can get a secondary fit. Maybe they're trying to see which of their competition's audience they can steal? If we get a hospital drama with bed-hopping within the next couple weeks, we should be really scared.

What's sort of ironic is that the new crop of spring/fall network shows they're starting let out teasers for have a lot of supernatural drama elements--I think there's even one with family relations...I think it's a brother/sister thing, but I don't remember exactly.

Two brothers. One car. On the road moving in and out of a different horror movie every week. I want to go back to that and stop worrying about romance and guest stars and extra cast members...

Oh god. Don't even joke, lol. I think I'd have to give up on the show if that happens and I really don't want to, heh.

God me too! I miss it so much. The past few episodes have left me feeling very unsatisfied. I hope next week will be better.
