Ugh, Mondays

Did anyone else have a really difficult time getting out of bed this morning? Holy cats, did I want to sleep until noon.
Also, today is the anniversary of the birth of the saint whose name I used for confirmation. No, I didn't know that off the top of my head: Bartleby told me. What a strange practice that is, though. I distinctly remember randomly picking a saint (well, not random, I liked the name) and randomly making up a valid and churchy reason for the choice, all the while thinking about how nuts it all was. Why couldn't I receive the holy spirit as plain old me?
I'm not certain I did receive the holy spirit that day, btw. I think I was a heathen long before I realized I was a heathen. ;)

Date: 2006-08-29 02:31 am (UTC)I would have *wanted* to throw it out the window though. And I would have been right, given the day I had. :\
Oh, and I was confirmed as plain old me...mostly because my CCD instructor kept rejecting the saints names I chose. I don't remember why--the only name I remember at the moment is Brigid, which at that time I loved; there were at least three other choices though. Pfft. So Kelly is a saint's name, hmm?
