Men In Uniform

So, yesterday on the way to the bus stop, I walked past some sort of medical emergency. I think poor homeless Harry fell down and hit his head or something. Those details are hazy. What's not hazy, though, is the fact that three of the four firemen on the scene were hot. And the one that wasn't hot wasn't ugly by any means.
Is it the uniform that makes guys hot, or do hot guys just go for jobs that require uniforms and therefore amp up their hotness level? Or are they just average looking guys and it's the uniform itself that's so freaking hot?

Date: 2006-08-22 04:45 pm (UTC)I cooled myself off by remembering how in that very elevator, another man in uniform calmly told me he'd love to jump me. Uniform was that of a pest control guy, and, not surprisingly, unappealing. Guess it doesn't always work. ;)

Date: 2006-08-22 09:14 pm (UTC)Y'know, when we had the observation for the ending of the Korean War back in July and the vets were out in their uniforms, even though they're old guys now, they still had that... je ne said quoi! Hotness... elder hotness?

Date: 2006-08-23 05:38 am (UTC)But fireman uniforms are just dumpy and practical. I have no idea why it seems to look good.
But it does seem to me a lot of these guys are actually just better than average looking.

Date: 2006-08-23 04:38 pm (UTC)Navy polyester (it's probably cotton, though - can't imagine firefighters wearing a material that's likely to melt onto their skin) doesn't really do it for me on its own...

It must be a job requirement or something. ;)

Date: 2006-08-24 04:18 am (UTC)Maybe firemen are just "hot".
Oh, that was so bad I'm just going to throw tomatoes at myself.

Date: 2006-08-23 01:30 pm (UTC)1. They're required to be fit, so nice!
2. They wear tight t-shirts under the uniform (see point 1.)
3. They're trained to interact with the public.
4. The uniform inspires trust (and lust)
win/win!
