Oh, snap! (poss. literally)

I've been known to do some pretty foolish things. Once I was jogging on my treadmill when a terrible, searing pain tore through my left knee, for example, and instead of stopping like a sane person would, I continued to jog for five miles.
This afternoon, the back injury I thought was pretty much better returned - I was leaning and reaching again. Spent the afternoon quite uncomfortable. I arrived home and found (ah, more irony) both my mattress pad and my bed frame sitting outside my door. Instead of just waiting to put things together, I...yep, stripped the bed, tipped the mattress and box spring up against the wall, pieced together a very flimsy bed frame, wrangled the bed onto it, wrestled with the mattress pad and fitted sheet again and then collapsed. It wasn't the lifting and propping that did me in, though - I do lift with my legs. It was making the bed that really killed my back.
I know. I have no right to be a baby about it. I made the choice. But...wahhhh! It hurts a lot more than plain discomfort again.
Off to down some drugs and apply...ice, someone said? Please note, I am not foolish enough to do abdominal crunches. Convenient wisdom. ;)
