Life could be a dream, sweetheart

There was an alien incursion last night. I don't know who I was, but I'm guessing it wasn't me as me; I wore a dark navy suit (very sharp) and was comfortable with a gun. I don't know who else was there, as I didn't recognize anyone, but we were trapped in a high-rise, hiding from the aliens and the people they'd already taken over. Yes, they were body-snatching aliens.
For quite a while we were in the garage, which was decimated. Chunks of concrete were everywhere, convenient for hiding behind. Then we somehow managed to get on an elevator and headed up to the penthouse. I don't know why we went there, as it made more sense to me to go out of the building. The penthouse's walls were painted burnt orange and it was very lavishly decorated. It was here where we had to battle the aliens - think a strange cross between the Alien alien, the rubber chicken thingie from Stargate SG-1's The Tomb and that little baby alien with tentacles from Men In Black. Creepy.
The whole time we battled them, the song Sha-Boom blared in the background. I woke up singing "ya da-da-da-da-da." I have no idea if we ever beat the aliens.
