Tip No. 5 Is Don't Drive Your Car
Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one in the nation who gave up driving when gas breached the $2.00 gallon mark and stayed there. I realize it's impractical for those who don't dwell in a city or have access to decent public transportation. And I know they kind of suggested not driving in the article.
My boss at Job 2 drives 2 blocks to Safeway because he's too lazy to simply walk. That is criminal.

Date: 2006-07-22 03:02 am (UTC)Where I work, the suite is two stories, and the elevator is far away. I'm upstairs, so I go up and down this long staircase every day, as many as 20 times on a crazy day. There are athletic people in the office who bitch and whine about coming up the stairs, and anytime they see one of us, they just hand us paperwork and say, "Could you take this up with you when you go back up? Thankssomuchbye" with no regard for what we might have planned to do downstairs first. We get so irritated with them.
