There's a Cream For That, You Know

Con was fantastic, finally got to meet some people in real life that I've been itching to for a while and that was the best part. I might give more detail about the weekend later, but I was delayed in Toronto for 2.5 hours due to inclement weather (thank goodness I had an exit seat, lotsa legroom), and thus missed my connecting flight in Vancouver. I darted out of the first plane quick like a short, barely noticeable girl only can and snagged the last standby seat on the next connecting, or I'd still be in the air as I type. So I'm tired and mostly brain dead.
I hate return flights. They suck every time.
Some dude on the bus pretended to take a picture of himself on his cell phone but was really taking a photo of me. There goes another piece of my soul. But I guess there's probably a cream for that.

Date: 2006-07-12 12:44 am (UTC)I had hoped to find and marry my one true Canadian love and never return, but the only one who paid me mind was Creepy Sal, whose name and his tendency to roam barefoot say it all.

Date: 2006-07-12 09:10 pm (UTC)If the majority of Americans (aka it's rigged to look that way) vote for Jeb Bush, I have GOT to get out of here.
Sad thing is, though, as unpatriotic as I am I still get a little annoyed at American-bashing. Because I am American and not anything like the unfortunate stereotype the government and other idiots have earned for me.

Date: 2006-07-11 01:54 pm (UTC)THANK YOU!!!!!!
That was so awesome! Can't decide if I should be a total and complete nerd and frame it or leave it as is or store it away for safe keeping... ;)

Date: 2006-07-11 04:35 pm (UTC)You should have seen us when we found out the line had dwindled so there was no loitering around at all for them. We literally flew up 8 or so flights of stairs (the elevators were broken by that time) and raced around like chickens with our heads cut off.
I'd suggest keeping it out for a while to gaze at it, and then maybe finding a safe place to keep it.

*waves* Hi! So, why'd you leave Toronto? I thought we had adopted you... :P

Date: 2006-07-12 12:46 am (UTC)And you have no idea how much I'd love to live in Toronto or Vancouver (I'm kind of a softie for west coast).

Date: 2006-07-12 05:07 pm (UTC)Ditto! :D

Heh. Who isn't? *g*
Actually, I've been meaning to head over to Vancouver for a vacation sooner or later (seeing as I should know everything there is to know about Vancouver from that oh so helpful panel, lol) so maybe we could meet up. *shrugs* That "meaning to" probably won't happen till the later part of a year, but it could happen... eventually. ;)
In any case, looking forward to gabbing with ya more. *g*

Date: 2006-07-12 09:13 pm (UTC)LOL, that panel was pretty useless. Sorry,
And I would love to jaunt up there anytime. If I had more than one day a week off work, I'd imagine most of my disposable income would be dedicated to weekend trips to Victoria and/or Vancouver.

Cool! I'll let you know whenever those plans go into affect. *g*

Ouch! Only one day a week? I have a hard enough time with only two...

Date: 2006-07-12 01:45 am (UTC)I love meeting people and being able to put a face to the words I've read for years. It was great to be able to do that with you (and the whole gang!) at last!
I'm still pondering the badfic. ;)
