The toilet runneth over

Of course there's a bona fide maintenance emergency on the one weekend S. has gone out of town. The dude down the hall flushed his toilet and it kept running and running and running. I thought he meant a slow trickle like happens when the chain becomes detached from the lever, but as it turns out, the guy has a commercial toilet. No tank, no lever, no chain. No shut-off valve!
And on a selfish note, this happened just as I was getting ready to run a few errands. Now I'm stuck until qualified help arrives. Bah.

There's a cap on the back side pipe of the toilet that comes off with a wrench, then a simple screwdriver valve shut off. Nice to know I got my master's in library science to work as a temporary plumber.
But it looks like your maintenance guy came, so you probably know all this already.
