Man, this year seems to be passing in a blink.

I just never get tired of red winged blackbirds.

Squirrel! Took this on a walk from the hotel I stayed at while back in my hometown for Mom's internment - From the hotel to my sister's house is about three miles if cutting across the city park. It was a good, easy walk. Everyone got sick of me calling midwestern hills "bumps". Haha.

In the city park is a falls for which my hometown is named. While I was there they had an event which is becoming quite popular - they string thousands of lights throughout the whole park, and light up the falls. It draws a pretty good crowd.

Can't pass up an eagle. Took this on Monday. After about five miles of seeing nothing interesting, there this little guy was, staring down a swooping, bully crow. Bonus is that I like crows as well. ;)
Speaking of blinking. Apparently I have been with my current employer for ten years, because payroll notified me today that I'd earned a retention bonus only eligible for people who have devoted a decade or more. Oy vey, is that more impressive or depressing? Time flies.
Hope all is well for anyone reading this.
