You can't go back again

I discovered an old show I remember liking - Seaquest DSV - was on Peacock, so I joined to watch. I've just come to an episode in which they are talking about a guy who presumably committed suicide in 2003 (when the show aired, this was the in the future) and then I remembered that Jonathan Brandis killed himself in 2003. He was why I loved the show so, knowing even then it wasn't a very good show. :*( So sad to think about that. That kid had talent. And demons too great to fight, apparently, in an industry which chewed him up and spit him out.

It's still a fun trip down memory lane, but the bittersweet nature of it has manifested itself.


Mowed the grass today. I hate doing it, but always appreciate the look of a freshly shorn lawn.

Also did my taxes and looked at my investments. For some reason, I feel like I should have more than I do at my age. But at least I have some. And years left to work. Ugh.
