Recipe needs perfecting
Sep. 28th, 2014 03:02 pmI made this per the recipe found on Averie Cooks ingredient for ingredient. I have a hard time with quick breads - I find those calling for all butter or all oil turn into really dense bricks. Her photos looked so gorgeous, though, I thought I'd try.
Annnnhhhh. No height, and the cream cheese filling kind of has a rubbery texture. Will revisit this one, because the flavors are there, but the consistency is not what I want.

No, it didn't dome even before I tipped it out onto the rack to cool. :(
