Have you ever heard a song that just gets in your head and infects it for days at a time? I know you have. Motor's Black Powder does that to me. Tommy James and the Shondell's singing Crimson and Clover (over and over) does it to me as well. I've got a newer song to put on that list. If you dare, go to the myspace page linked below. Just skip some of the others and play:

Atlas

I think maybe it's the Alvin and the Chipmunks element to it, but jeez I am fascinated by it right now.

Random things:

Cute guy moved in this weekend. Actually, two of them did but one's just off a divorce (he lived in the building before he got married and now he's back, whoops). The other one is just freaking adorable. I'm talking, his parents took pictures of him outside the building kind of adorable. I feel like a perv for ogling the poor boy. But I might stalk him anyway.

Neighbor's TV is starting to get loud again. I should bring home my little recorder from the office and see if I can catch her at it.

Hottie Neighbor brought home a girl. I'm somewhat happy to note I am cuter than she.

Mailman has got to be more dense than lead. Everything he says, I manage to take the opposite point of view on. He's all "sunshine is good" and I'm all "I like the rain a lot more." He's "you need to find a man with a house" and I'm all "fuck that, buddy." Yet he doesn't seem to pick up on my unsubtle ain't-gonna-happen vibes. It's like he's not even hearing a single word I say. This happens to me a lot, not just with guys who pester me. I say one thing to a prospective tenant, for example, and they call back during the week to speak with S. stating things that never came out of my mouth. I don't get it.

It's raining and I needed to dust off my car so I drove to work today. Rain bath! Poor Bullet's going to be all streaky and gross. I need to get his oil changed and get some air in the tires. Who knows when that'll ever happen.

I did absolutely nothing this weekend. Well, laundry, but needs must on that one. I think I watched at least 10 episodes of Supernatural. I admit I kind of miss the monster-of-the-week thing they had going in S1, though I did enjoy S2 immensely.

In case it wasn't patently obvious, I have no desire to work today. But I should go get some benefits info ready for the bishop elect. And transcribe minutes. And reconcile that bloody $3719.49. Blarg.
