Apr. 5th, 2007 07:56 amI've arranged to see an apartment this afternoon, even though it's out of my price range (or at least out of the range I choose to spend). It looks lovely, but $795 + utilities is kind of steep for a studio, unless it's GInormous. The same place has one for $550, but it's the sort that has dorm-style bathroom sharing and...well, I fought for bathroom time my whole childhood and adolescence and don't ever want to do that again. Plus, it really grosses me out to think of other people using my shower. MINNNNNNNE, I tell you.
I've also arranged to see a different apartment on Sunday, and it's both closer and cheaper than the first. We shall see. The landlord seemed kind of dingy, and dingy people don't always make the best landlords. Of course, there are also advantages to having a dingy landlord. I swear I had one once who never ever cashed my last month's rent check.
Heard someone blaring "Starlight" by Muse this morning and it made me smile.
