Ima Moron

I'm so very glad I didn't send out an APB email to my coworkers about a box of legal-sized file folders I had in my office, which mysteriously disappeared while I was on vacation. It turns out they didn't disappear. In one of my fits of cleaning and tidying, I put them in a filing cabinet (I have four filing cabinets in my office, which is totally overkill and a different story) that I hardly ever use. As far as I can tell it's main purpose is to hold my desk up.

I didn't figure out I was the office klepto until I had the accusatory email halfway written. ;)

Flights of Fancy

Seriously, it does not instill confidence to see *on time - 10%* when you're trying to book travel. A 10% on time ratio is not a good thing.

I dread flying to NYC.

I'm melting

I thought there was a difference in the air this morning. I think the heat wave is finally hitting us. 85F/29C today, 93F/33C tomorrow. That's not really that terrible, of course, unless you're out working in it (and aren't used to it like us temperate-weathered Pac Northwesterners). I should probably forego the stairs/walk tomorrow at lunch, if my condition now is anything to go by. Maybe just lose the stairs and keep the walk.

And I question my intelligence for wearing my hair down. Talk about upping your body temperature several degrees. I spent half the time holding my hair up today. I even resorted to trying to use my watch as a hairband. That plan failed.
