I just got a call looking for an exorcist. Huh. She didn't sound possessed, so now I'm wondering if she was calling for a friend. Or maybe her pet poodle has been bit by a demon. Hmmmm.

Stupid me, I assumed she was needing the Catholic diocese. I had no idea demon possession was prevalent for Episcopals, but there are a number of priests here who apparently do good exorcism work.

Perhaps I shouldn't tell you this, but your job starts to sound a lot like my step-father's when he spent time as a college student, working as a keeper security guard in one of the Texas state mental institutions.

I thought I'd had her sorted out, but it turns out she is possessed herself. It's not a demon in her storm drain, which the person I contacted would have been very happy to exorcise. So, I've got to track down someone else to help her.

Part of me thinks she's absolutely off her rocker, but then...it couldn't hurt to have a priest talk to her even if that's the case.

Now that I'm thinking of it, a woman called last Wednesday looking for one of my coworkers (a priest), and he had a conversation with her, telling her that she needed to speak with the person (therapist) he'd sent her to...I wonder if it's the same person.
