I've just come back from a volunteer appreciation party at the animal shelter. It was a lovely time, though truly I volunteer for selfish reasons - puppy love and mental health break for my mid-day as my lunch hour - so to be appreciated for that seems wrong.

Flickr is being temperamental today, so hopefully these work. Someone was busy stacking rocks...

It is lovely of them to show their appreciation, though. No matter your reasons, what you are doing is such a cool thing, and I know the animals you see are very appreciative of you, too. :-)

The stacked rocks make me laugh. They're so random and who would think they would stack like that?
