superbadgirlThe town I live is filled with antique stores. The next town down the coast is all about big box stores, the one after than thrift shops and the one after that boutiques. I could skip the middle two and spend all my time here and the fourth. :)
Anyway, last week I happened into one of our antique stores. I wasn't going to stop in, was just out for exercise along the waterfront. I saw this within seconds of entering and knew I had to act fast or this would be gone. The timing is rotten as far as my finances go, but I really couldn't pass it up. It was $110, which is a fair price - especially considering the "big" antique place would have shabby chic'ed this to death and charged $350-400. For real. I could paint this blue and distress it for the same result ... but why? It's gorgeous.
And now I want to move my room up there! I am on the hunt for a small sitting chair for the other side of the window, then bedside tables. Slowly but surely, I'm getting there!
Yes, that lump under the blanket is Abe. He did well staying right huddled there as we got the dresser in the room, but wouldn't come out to say hi.
