*Though it was nice to see there was a clearcut choice made by the woman inevitably stuck in the middle, and that it's mostly about Carter's unrequited lurve, not Allison's.
I know, right? I do suspect, though, Carter's lurve will eventually resurface. Until then, I will enjoy the mature handling of love. Seriously, how often do we see characters that smitten actually act out the "I love you so much, all I want is to see you happy even if it's not with me" thing?
Oh, I'm not against Jack/Allison at all. I was against the love triangle, but I'm against most love triangles. LOL, I love Nathan, but he's not actually a very nice character at all and couldn't see why Allison didn't see that. ;)
I think Allison was going for the known. I think she was also going for what she thought would be in Kevin's best interests (and Nathan quite obviously loves Kevin for his own sake, even if he is a little iffy at times about 'best interests').
And yeah, love triangles are just plain stupid.
My kid was the center of once recently and it's hilarious how it all worked out. Granted, the kids involved are 14, which you'd think would mean they'd deal with this in a very immature manner.
Um. No. Pretty much "I'm with him" did the trick. When that was no longer the case (very civil breakup and I took the three of them to lunch today before they all headed out to a pre-high school orientation camp thingy), she went out with the other guy. The three are still thick as thieves.

Now where is my eye candy going to come from?!

Date: 2008-08-21 10:03 pm (UTC)But even with Nathan (whose ego should really have its own billing), I think we'd get, eventually, the same response.
Allison would rip him a new one if he stepped out of line, anyway. ;-)
