Oh, Sam. We shouldn't worry about him going darkside due to some evil taint or demonic influence. We should worry about him without that light of Dean to keep him from the dark.
This might be random, but I just want to point out that I think Dean is important on other levels, too, not just when it's All About Sam. I couldn't squeeze that into this ficlet without it getting clumsy and cumbersome. (I say this because I've notice Dean girls resent Sam a wee bit and think the show builds him up in detriment to Dean. That is never my intent.)
Just as Dean is vital to Sam, Sam is vital to Dean. One is not greater than the other, in my eyes. ;)
