I'm not sure, again, what my stance is on LJ's latest shenanigans is. I'm not nearly as up in arms as some, that much I do know. I'd link, but I think things are being spread quite effectively without my help. I'm also not sure if it merits me stomping away to another journal, but in case everyone I know does I've set up a journal on GreatestJournal. I wish, if everyone did jump LJ ship that they'd coordinate and all go to the same place. ;)

My GreatestJournal, set up to 1) reserve my username and 2) just in case.

I don't have anything at all tweaked there. For computer stupid people like me, it looks like it'll take some getting used to. Hell, I haven't even gone out to see what people I recognize are already there.

I should be at work.

I really don't feel like moving from LJ. I totally dig the complaint that LJ is going about this wrong. I just... I'm over 30. Wasting hours and days and months moving all my shit around and learning new stuff is not as fun as it used to be.

I friended you over on GreatestJournal. I also have an InsaneJournal which I actually like better, but GJ seems to have the most activity when LJ is down. I belong to an LJ refugee community over there.

GJ and IJ are both like "old" LiveJournal. :-(

I got these journals a while ago, because I like to play around with different journal sites. I also have a Vox journal and several others at various sites and I've never used them beyond playing with them for a short time when I first got them. *g*

I'm hoping things don't get bad here, but they could. I think that if the trouble comes, it'll eventually follow us everywhere, though.

I know that most of this latest drama will not affect me personally, but I'm not too happy about the "report" button they plan to add to every post. That seems like it will be too easy to abuse.

The report button seems like it's similar to ones I've seen pretty much on every forum. I kind of agree - it makes it so people won't even think twice, whereas if there's a more lengthy process people have to decide if they really think whatever silly thing is upsetting them is worth it.
