I do not like ginger, except in ginger snap cookies. It's just not a flavour I enjoy at all.

That said, I've had a tummy upset all freaking week and finally remembered I had some ginger lemon tea from a bad bellyache in the past, and so I made some last night. And I had some for breakfast and now lunch. And, yeah, my stomach feels a lot more settled. I'm going to have to suck it up next time and use ginger sooner, rather than being stuck feeling like crap for days on end. It really does work.

I might need to look at a better way to use it, though. Sipping at the tea just extends my displeasure for the actual taste.

In other news, I had a MAJOR bizarro dream last night, about which I can only remember the number 3,719.49 recurring frequently (I know why - that's the amount I cannot seem to balance one of the bank accounts I reconcile by), a brothel, time travel and a pink Cadillac. I REALLY wish I could remember it, because it sounds intriguing. I hate when you know your dreams are exquisitely detailed and interesting but you can't remember them.

I use ginger capsules form the health food store. they have no taste as you just swallow them.

Was gonna say that, too!

I actually like ginger, but the capsules are easy to take anywhere. Also, for an upset stomach of the more gaseous/cramping variety, activated charcoal pills work wonders.
