Hi, my name is SBG and I'm an Internet addict.
No, seriously. The first thing I did when I got home was turn on my computer and check email. The days of me getting a million messages from lists and groups has long since passed. I wasn't expecting an email. But I still had to turn the computer on and connect
I go away now, to do something productive. We'll see how long that lasts.

Date: 2006-10-18 01:53 am (UTC)My internet was out again this afternoon and I didn't know what to do with myself. I had only an hour between things I had to do, and I had planned to spend it catching up on LJ stuff. Since I couldn't do that, instead of doing something really productive, I watched Gilmore Girls and cleaned up stuff. *g*

Date: 2006-10-18 05:25 am (UTC)The funny thing is, when I'm away from a computer I'm fine. I don't feel the need to hop on and see if there are any new messages. In NY, they furnished computers so folks could check email. Wasn't even tempted then.
For me, it's like when I was in school. My friends would always want to study in the library and I couldn't - the books were too distracting.
