It's so much less fun to pine after my hottie neighbor now that I more than suspect he's got a girl (or boy) friend. I don't know why that makes a difference, because there was never going to be anything between us but friendly conversation, but now...*sniffle*

I'll bet she (or he) is a tart.

Yeah, it does. It's strange, though. The guy from Scotland on the 8th floor has remained a constant cutie on my radar even though I've known since day one he's in a relationship. That might have more to do with the accent. Le sigh. And he gave me a gift cert for a coffee shop today, which is more than I ever got out of hottie neighbor. ;)

For me, there's a wacked out sense of rejection when you find out your crush is involved, as opposed to knowing it before you started to pine. It's irrational, but - well, human beings are idiots, LOL.
