The kindness of strangers

I walked downtown today to purchase dog food. Got to the store. Got the product. Got to the check out - no wallet. I figured I was simply absentminded, as I had removed some cash from it to prevent myself from spending it. Sometimes I get distracted and set things down, and go do other things...

But literally a minute after I got home, my doorbell rang. A gentleman said, "You look like an SBG. I found this a block up the way." My wallet!

I take comfort in knowing that at least I wasn't such a dingbat that I didn't remember to bring it, even though I was dingbat enough to have it fall out of my pocket.
