What a poopy month, overall. I think I've just reached an emotional threshold of some kind.
But, there are always photos.
^Tis the season
^More spooky...
^On a walk at lunch, a very, very, very blustery day. The wind nearly knocked me over, I've been going up and walking around yet another new development which hasn't had any buildings/lots sold yet so it's vacant. Personal opinion: based on the elk prints on the already made streets, I feel like this is an area that was already occupied but we humans don't recognize other species... It's probably what will make me leave this area, all of the development. It changes things, it really does. Anyway, freezing wind, and I look down and this guy is standing on the road, kind of bracing against the wind. When I leaned down, it looked right at me. I never thought I'd feel judged by a bug...
^W and I occasionally walk down to a nearby fishing dock/basin. In each of the stations is a small patch of water and in those patches, lots and lots of itty bitty fishies. These are about 1/2 inch in length. Very little.
^Every once in a while at work, I'll look up and catch the tail end (literally) of a hawk leaving the small field in the back of the office. Last week, I finally caught it flying in! It perched in a tree for a good long while, I called a colleague over to check it out. We stared for a good amount of time, then it flew down and landed in the field. Stared right back at us. I mean, I know it didn't see us, really, but it sure seemed like it was. Cute red tailed hawk. I mean, intimidating.
^Two eagles, one perch. They didn't seem to like sharing, actually don't think it was intentional.
^Walter turned 8 this month.
