I have a chronic shoulder issue stemming from a volleyball incident when I was nineteen. It's been okay, until the Anatolian shepherd pups at the shelter months ago - I've had pretty consistent pain since then. I've been using CBD, naproxen, taking it easy and earlier this week it was feeling pretty good.
Then I walked Walter the other day and he was determined to go a particular way. In this town, a lot of streets cut off into footpaths, then start again after a brief break. There's one at the end of my street, and sometimes W just wants to go down that path, so we did. Unfortunately, they're not exactly maintained paths, and it was so overgrown I did not see (or remember) the big hole at the bottom. So I stepped in it and fell pretty hard. Nothing major, but, damn it, my shoulder is back to pain square one.
I ought to go to the doctor, but short of surgery I don't really know what they could do. :(
Getting old sucks.
