This week was me sleeping a LOT on Monday due to rebound of Friday headache. Then, to make up for it, the universe had my dog yipping at me every morning at about 5 AM, waking me way early and eating away at the hours I banked. This morning, he did not do that. However, at 3:07 AM I was awoken by the beep of a smoke detector announcing its battery needed replacing. Why, why, why does that only ever happen in the middle of the night? Disoriented and groggy, I finally just pulled all of them down and yanked the batteries. The sound seems to come from everywhere and nowhere, making it impossible to pin down in those semi-conscious circumstances.

^This is the first year I finally have enough blooming lilacs to smell them as I enter and exit the house. Pretty exciting! And that's with the deer enjoyng the lilac smorgasbord. I really wish lilacs would bloom longer.
The office has finished the reconfiguration. I do like the sit to stand desks they have finally upgraded us to, because given the choice between a chair to sit on and an exercise ball, I choose the ball every time. I couldn't do that before - my desk was a standing one, and the chair a high chair. I don't care what chair I've ever sat upon in a work environment, they are all torture devices. It's been two weeks of ball sitting and when I went to the chiropractor today she said she noticed an obvious improvement, esp in my lower back. She is prepared to write me a note if the higher ups ban the ball - boss has said several times how it's not kosher, it's a liability, yadda.
According to my body, those chairs are a liability.
