Snapshot Sunday 51
Dec. 22nd, 2019 08:52 amYesterday afternoon as I was getting ready to take W out for his walk, I consciously decided to leave my camera home. Now, every time I do this I miss something. Sure enough - a deer that I've seen but never while armed with camera. This guy is unique in that he's only got one antler, and I keep wanting to get a shot of him. I feel kind of bad for him, actually, I only ever see him alone. Like he's been shunned for being odd. D'aww.
Also yesterday evening the sky was all dark clouds, except a teeny pocket of vibrant pink as the sun set. I missed that too. You'd think I'd learn!
On this morning's stroll, we happened upon a flood. The sound of rushing water was thunderous and the whole street was under water. Went to look for the source and there appeared to have been a burst pipe - someone's yard had a geyser gushing up. Luckily a gentleman and his son were on the road driving and they too followed the river to the source and called it in. I dread to think how much water ended up being washed away.
Anyway. We're fogged in this morn, MY FAVORITE KIND OF MORNING, and I've just fixed myself more French toast. I'm in trouble now that I remember I love it! I had an extra egg white, so it was "lighter" or could have been had I not used heavy whipping cream in the soak. LOL. I also jammed some cinnamon chips into the bread slices, in lieu of freshly made bread...and you know what? It was still amazing. I might be obsessed. It's good I only eat breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays.

^Mushroom family. Isn't it lovely how the largest one is shielding the smaller two from the elements? What a stand up shroom.

^Gotta capture the moments these two are near each other without fur flying.
During the windstorm this week, I lost my only exterior holiday decoration - a lone red ornament tied to my Charlie Brown tree out front. I'm pretty sad about it!
