Tis the season
Nov. 30th, 2019 09:08 amFor stupid advertisements. I thought the ones with the luxury cars were bad (I guess they're not bad if you're in their target market, which I am not. The very thought of someone gifting a $50k+ vehicle on Christmas... that's not reality for a great number of people. Massive number of people.), but the stupid Peloton bike commercial is at the top of the most hated list for me:
Really? A stationary bike really changed your life so much that you had to document daily, and tear up over it. Really. It might not be so dreadful if the lady didn't appear as fit at the beginning of her amazing stationary bike year as at the end. Show us a transformation if you want us to believe that this bike is so life changing.
Bah humbug, I guess!*
Hope all who celebrated US Thanksgiving had a lovely day. Mine was filled with pie, sun spots, lounging and viewing horribly acted and schlocky holiday movies. I feel bad, but the child actors are particularly awful this year. ;)

*Mood "enhanced" by bone-deep headache. Seriously, my skull aches - specifically around the right jaw, cheekbone and eye socket. Wah, poor me. I've switched allergy medications; all told, I'd rather the medication relieve sinus headaches than drippy nose. Though it's been lovely not having a faucet for a nose, that's way more liveable than these headaches.
That said - Christmas cards should be getting done soonish. I am struggling with haiku this year and again curse myself for starting that for the cards I give to colleagues. One has told me repeatedly how much he looks forward to the haiku! I have done so many holiday themed haiku, I am running out. Anyone care to drop a haiku I can steal? ;)
