It's a trap!
May. 31st, 2019 09:43 pmGot caught in a speed trap today. Had to drive to the city for an appointment and on the way back, I got pulled over. What happens is this: some drivers go below the speed limit while on normal stretches of road, and then when the passing lanes hit suddenly find it in themselves to go 65 MPH. Knowing that they will revert back to under the speed limit once the passing lanes are over, one must execute an actual pass - which means speeding. And the cops sit there waiting to catch you at it. So I get a ticket for three minutes of being over, but the yahoos who pull this slow putzing to speed demons BS carry on. *grumble*
Seriously, though, why, why, why do people do this?
Don't worry, I do understand I deserve the ticket, but it's extremely frustrating as I will normally go a modest amount over the limit but never in excess unless in just this situation.
Oh well. In my whole driving career, I think I've only ever had one other ticket. And that was nearly a decade and a half ago.
Came home, walked the dog and mowed the lawn. I don't know why I think lawn mowing takes 20 minutes when it's easily 40. I'd put dinner on and it was quite overdone. The actual problem is that I can't do just the front of the lawn, I have to finish once I start. It's a sickness.
Have a portrait of my handsome of the handsomest boys:

Somehow, the day's events don't seem that bad. ;)
